When Yamaha decided to fill the gap between the FZ6 and the FZ1, the result was a 779cc inline four-cylinder with a clear identity: strong power delivery from the low-to-mid range, a die-cast aluminium frame shared with the FZ1, and a chassis engineered to perform both on tight winding roads and on longer motorway stretches. The Fazer 8 is the half-faired version of this project, with a nose fairing that reduces rider fatigue at higher speeds without altering the bike's fundamental character. For those looking to take this package a step further on the exhaust side, our sports exhausts offer a targeted upgrade consistent with the model's philosophy. The full range is available in the dedicated section for exhausts for Yamaha on our website.
The products in this category are sports exhausts designed to replace the original muffler on the Fazer 8. The work concerns the final silencer only: the original headers and the front section of the exhaust system remain in place. Fitting is carried out on the bike's original mounting points, with no special adapters required, and each exhaust is supplied with a complete fitting kit. To ensure a proper seal and correct alignment, we recommend having the installation carried out by a qualified mechanic.
The weight saving over the stock muffler is tangible and noticeable in the overall feel of the bike. In terms of sound, the Fazer 8's four-cylinder — already pleasant in standard form — gains a more defined and present tone, with a fuller note at medium-to-high revs. The effect is appreciable without becoming excessive for everyday road use. In terms of behaviour, a different management of exhaust gas flow compared to the original can contribute to a more linear throttle response and a greater feeling of responsiveness in certain riding conditions.
Two sleeve lengths are available for this category: 285 mm and 400 mm. The difference is primarily aesthetic and relates to lateral bulk, allowing you to find the visual proportions that best suit your bike. Both versions of the sports exhausts share the same construction characteristics and the same lateral positioning.
We build every exhaust in our workshop with handcrafted manufacturing in Lombardy, in the province of Bergamo. Each piece is made to order and goes through internal quality control before dispatch. We operate direct from the manufacturer, without intermediaries: a direct relationship that allows us to maintain consistent quality standards and give every order the attention it deserves.
Every sports exhaust is supplied with a standard dB killer included. Our exhausts are homologated for road use throughout Europe and Switzerland: the homologation certificate is included and is valid with the dB killer fitted. Removing the dB killer invalidates the product's homologation. For those who want to reduce the sound level further, the No-Noise option is available, with an internally welded filter that provides a perceptible reduction in decibels without significantly affecting the exhaust's overall behaviour. The selection is made directly on the product page.
As this involves replacing only the end can on a fuel-injected bike like the Fazer 8, no ECU remapping or modifications to the engine management system are normally required. The engine management adapts to the new configuration without any particular electronic issues.
Updated production times are visible directly at checkout and may vary depending on the period. Once your order has been dispatched, you will automatically receive a tracking code to follow your parcel.
For any questions about fitting, compatibility or the differences between the available models, check our FAQ section or contact us via the Contact page or chat: we respond directly and without unnecessary delays.
Below you will find the product list available for the Yamaha Fazer 8. The differences between the various sports exhausts are primarily aesthetic: body shape, material and finish. On each product page you can select the sleeve length (285 mm or 400 mm) and, if desired, the No-Noise option. Visit the product page to view detailed photos, read the technical specifications and configure your exhaust.
