From the T7 prototype shown at EICMA 2016 to the first deliveries in summer 2019: three years of anticipation that had built enormous expectations. The Ténéré 700 meets all of them. The 689cc CP2 engine shared with the MT-07 and Tracer 700 arrives on the T7 with a completely rewritten fuel map for off-road use: fuller and more linear torque at low and mid revs, crossplane 270-degree firing order that generates that irregular and almost primal pulse that sets the Yamaha twin apart from everything else. The chassis is genuine enduro: 21-inch front wheel, 18-inch rear, steel double-cradle frame, long-travel suspension and vertical instrument cluster with roadbook mount. This first Euro 4 generation is what many enthusiasts consider the most pure version — born without compromise, before subsequent regulatory revisions intervened on the electronics. On this bike a sports exhaust makes a perceptible difference, because the Euro 4 CP2 already has an intense voice in its own right that a freer-flowing exhaust can bring out in exactly the right way. The products in this category are sports exhausts designed to replace the original muffler on the Ténéré 700 2019-2020. The work concerns the lateral end can only: the original headers and the front section of the exhaust system remain in place. Fitting is carried out on the bike's original mounting points with no special adapters required, and each exhaust is supplied with a complete fitting kit. To ensure a proper seal and correct alignment, we recommend having the installation carried out by a qualified mechanic.
The weight saving over the stock muffler is tangible and meaningful across the whole bike — a particularly significant benefit on an enduro designed for off-road use, where every kilogram saved translates directly into handling. In terms of sound, the Ténéré 700's CP2 270-degree twin — already pulsating and characterful, with that low-rev growl that sets it apart from any four-cylinder — gains a more open and defined note with a sports exhaust, with a richer tone that further enhances that irregular pulse. In terms of behaviour, a different management of exhaust gas flow can favour a more responsive throttle and, in certain riding conditions, a greater feeling of engine readiness.
The sleeve has a fixed length of 400 mm, chosen for optimal visual proportions on the Ténéré 700's profile.

Every sports exhaust is supplied with a standard dB killer included. Our exhausts are homologated for road use throughout Europe and Switzerland: the homologation certificate is included and is valid with the dB killer fitted. Removing the dB killer invalidates the product's homologation. For those who want to reduce the sound level further, the No-Noise option is available, with an internally welded filter that provides a perceptible reduction in decibels without significantly affecting the exhaust's overall behaviour. As this involves replacing only the end can on a fuel-injected bike like the Ténéré 700, no ECU remapping or modifications to the engine management are normally required. The engine management adapts to the new configuration without any particular electronic issues.
