In 2003, the R6 changes almost everything. The Deltabox III frame is entirely new, the engine is revised in 90% of its components and most importantly switches from carburettors to electronic fuel injection: a transformation that brings power to 122hp at 13,000rpm on a bike that drops to 162kg. In 2005 a further step forward arrives with throttle bodies enlarged from 38 to 40mm, pushing output to 125hp. In 2006 the R6 changes shape again: new engine with forged pistons, titanium valves, MotoGP-derived YCC-T ride-by-wire throttle and a rev limit that no other production four-cylinder had ever approached. On this generation the sports exhaust finds its ideal context: a high-revving engine with a delivery that rewards those who push it, where any change in exhaust gas flow is felt clearly. The products in this category are sports exhausts designed to replace the original muffler on the R6 2003-2006. The work concerns the lateral end can only: the original headers and the front section of the exhaust system remain in place. Fitting is carried out on the bike's original mounting points with no special adapters required, and each exhaust is supplied with a complete fitting kit. To ensure a proper seal and correct alignment, we recommend having the installation carried out by a qualified mechanic.
The weight saving over the stock muffler is tangible and noticeable across the whole bike. In terms of sound, the fuel-injected R6 four-cylinder — already sharp and highly characterful at high revs — gains a more open and defined note with a sports exhaust, with a richer tone that further enhances the engine's character. In terms of behaviour, a different management of exhaust gas flow can favour a more linear throttle response and, in certain riding conditions, a greater feeling of engine readiness.
Two sleeve lengths are available for this category: 285 mm and 400 mm. The difference is primarily aesthetic and relates to lateral bulk, allowing you to find the visual proportions that best suit your bike. Both versions share the same construction characteristics.

Every sports exhaust is supplied with a standard dB killer included. Our exhausts are homologated for road use throughout Europe and Switzerland: the homologation certificate is included and is valid with the dB killer fitted. Removing the dB killer invalidates the product's homologation. For those who want to reduce the sound level further, the No-Noise option is available, with an internally welded filter that provides a perceptible reduction in decibels without significantly affecting the exhaust's overall behaviour. As this involves replacing only the end can on a fuel-injected bike like the R6 2003-2006, no ECU remapping or modifications to the engine management are normally required. The engine management adapts to the new configuration without any particular electronic issues.
