What we offer for the XSR 700 (from 2021 onwards) is a full exhaust system, not a simple replacement silencer. On the XSR 700 the original exhaust is designed as a single unit: headers, mid-pipes and final section are part of an inseparable whole, and for this reason our system covers the entire gas flow path, from the engine outlet to the terminal. The muffler is single, positioned under the engine with a lateral outlet, a choice that integrates naturally with the clean lines of the XSR 700 without adding bulk. The connection is made on the original mounting points of the bike, without structural modifications. The mounting kit is included. We recommend installation by a qualified mechanic to ensure correct and lasting fitment.
All models in this category are homologated for use on public roads throughout Europe and Switzerland: the homologation certificate is included in the package. It is important to note that if the original exhaust on your motorcycle is fitted with a catalytic converter, the new exhaust must be purchased in the catalysed version to maintain full road compliance.
Compared to the stock system, the most immediate benefit is the weight reduction: the original components, often sized to meet homologation requirements, are replaced by a more compact and lighter assembly. In terms of sound, the CP2 twin already has a distinctive voice thanks to its asymmetric firing order, and the full exhaust system for the Yamaha XSR 700 helps make it more defined and fuller, especially in the mid-to-high rev range. It does not change the engine's character — it brings it into sharper focus. In terms of power delivery, more effective flow management along the entire exhaust path can favour a smoother throttle response and more linear progression, with a greater sense of connection between the throttle and the rear wheel.
Every system is handcrafted in Lombardy, in the province of Bergamo, made to order. Each component is machined and assembled in-house, with direct quality control at every stage. Direct from the manufacturer eliminates middlemen, with a direct impact on the quality of the relationship and after-sales service.
As this is a full exhaust system on a Euro 5 homologated motorcycle, the original catalytic section is also replaced. The catalytic converter is available as an option in the drop-down menu on the product page. Choosing the catalysed version results in no fuelling issues or warning lights, although a brief ECU adaptation period to the new system is normal: during the first rides, minor variations in power delivery may occur, which will resolve themselves naturally. Those who opt for the non-catalysed version should consider that fuelling may not be optimal and that remapping the ECU will likely be necessary to get the best out of the system. The non-catalysed version is intended for track use or contexts where road compliance is not required, within the limits permitted by local regulations.
The dB killer is included as standard. It is not officially removable: its removal invalidates the homologation of the exhaust. For those who require further noise reduction, the No-Noise dB killer is available, with an internally welded filter that further reduces decibels without significantly affecting performance. This option is also selectable in the drop-down menu on the product page.
