Kawasaki has redesigned the camshaft profiles to shift power delivery towards the mid-range, bringing the 948 cc inline four-cylinder into Euro 5+ compliance without flattening its character — in fact, improving the push precisely where you ride most. A completely new electronics package is added: 6-axis IMU, cornering ABS, adjustable traction control, standard up/down quickshifter, cruise control and a 5-inch Bluetooth-connected TFT display. The steel trellis frame has been stiffened in the headstock area for more precise direction changes. It is the most technically advanced Z900 ever made, and it still has a great deal to express in terms of sound and character. The sports silencer for the Z900 2025 is a muffler designed to replace the original silencer in its lateral position, leaving the standard headers and connections unchanged. Mounting uses the motorcycle's original fittings without structural modifications, and the kit includes all the hardware necessary for installation. On a motorcycle with the advanced electronics of this generation, we recommend entrusting the fitting to a qualified mechanic to ensure a correct and trouble-free result.
For this application, a carbon heat shield is available as an optional extra, selectable directly from the drop-down menu on the product page. Mounting on the original catalytic converter fittings of the standard exhaust system, the heat shield reinstates the coverage that is removed along with the original silencer — an area that would otherwise be left exposed. Its function is twofold: it protects the rider's feet from the direct heat produced in the header area, and aesthetically completes the exhaust installation with a carbon element consistent with the sporting nature of the motorcycle.
The original Z900 2025 silencer is a significantly sized component, and replacing it with our sports exhaust produces a tangible weight reduction in the rear lateral area of the motorcycle. The acoustic tone improves in definition and body, with a fuller voice that enhances the character of the updated four-cylinder — an engine that in the 2025 version has a smoother mid-range delivery, and that expresses it more directly with a freer silencer. In terms of engine response, more efficient exhaust gas flow management can favour an even smoother power delivery and make throttle response more immediate under certain riding conditions, including in interaction with the standard riding modes.
Every exhaust is worked directly in our workshop with handcrafted manufacturing in Lombardy, in the province of Bergamo, to order. Every silencer is supplied with a standard dB killer included in the kit. Removing the dB killer invalidates the product's homologation and is not officially supported. For those who use the motorcycle in contexts where noise containment is a priority — urban routes, residential areas, personal preference — the No-Noise option is available: an internally welded filter that further reduces the sound level without significantly affecting the characteristics of the silencer. It can be selected on the product page alongside the carbon heat shield option.
As this involves only the replacement of the silencer, the Z900 2025 ECU does not normally require any remapping. The modification is contained enough not to cause any electronic issues, even in the presence of the IMU and control systems of this generation.
