The ER-6n project was born from a deliberate choice: remove the fairing, lower the handlebar just enough, and let the 649 cc parallel twin speak for itself. Compared to the f version, the naked puts the chassis and engine front and centre, with no aesthetic filters. From 2005 to 2011 it occupied a precise segment — accessible but non-trivial mid-displacement — winning over riders who wanted a motorcycle to actually use, every day or at the weekend. The sports silencer for the ER-6n 2005-2011 is a muffler designed to replace the original silencer, without touching the headers and connections, which remain standard. Mounting uses the motorcycle's original fittings without requiring structural modifications. The kit includes all the necessary hardware and fasteners. For the best result, fitting by a qualified mechanic remains the recommended choice.
The weight saving is immediate and tangible: the ER-6n's original muffler is generous in size, and replacing it with our sports exhaust noticeably lightens the rear of the motorcycle. The acoustic tone improves in quality and presence — fuller in the mid-range, more defined as the engine climbs through the rev range — without altering the character of the parallel twin. In terms of engine response, more efficient exhaust gas flow management can favour a smoother power delivery and make throttle response feel more immediate under certain riding conditions.
We manufacture every piece directly in our workshop with handcrafted manufacturing in Lombardy, in the province of Bergamo. Each exhaust goes into production at the time of order, with internal quality control before dispatch. No intermediaries involved: direct from the manufacturer sales allow us to follow every order from start to finish.
For the ER-6n, the version with a catalytic converter is available, selectable from the drop-down menu on the product page. The catalysed version is the right choice for riders who use the motorcycle on public roads and want to maintain regulatory compliance. Those who use the bike more freely can opt for the version without.
Every silencer is supplied with a standard dB killer included in the kit. Removing the dB killer invalidates the product's homologation and is not officially supported. For those with greater noise reduction requirements — daily commuting, shared garages, specific contexts — the No-Noise option is available: an internally welded filter that further lowers the sound level without significantly altering the characteristics of the exhaust silencer.
As this involves only the replacement of the silencer, the ER-6n's ECU does not normally require any remapping. The original system remains in its standard configuration, and the modification is contained enough not to cause any electronic issues. No warning lights to worry about on this front.
