The sports silencer for the Versys 1000 2017-2018 is a muffler designed to replace the original silencer in its lateral position, leaving the standard headers and connections unchanged. The kit includes all the necessary hardware and mounting uses the motorcycle's original fittings without structural modifications. For the best result, we recommend entrusting the installation to a qualified mechanic, particularly on a motorcycle equipped with advanced electronics where every mechanical intervention deserves proper attention.
For this application, a choice of silencer sleeve length is available: 285 mm or 400 mm. The 285 mm version is the more compact solution, with a profile that integrates cleanly into the lateral line of the motorcycle and a contained footprint. The 400 mm version offers a more decisive visual presence and greater internal volume, which can influence the overall sound output. The kit includes a standard dB killer, fitted internally to the silencer. Its removal invalidates the product's homologation and is not officially supported. For those who use the motorcycle in contexts where noise reduction is a priority — daily commuting, shared garages, routes with sound restrictions — the No-Noise option is available: an internally welded filter that further reduces the sound level without significantly affecting the characteristics of the silencer. It can be selected on the product page alongside the sleeve length.
By replacing only the silencer, the Versys 1000 2017-2018 ECU does not normally require any remapping. The original system remains in its standard configuration and the modification is limited enough not to generate electronic issues, even with the more advanced on-board electronics of this series.
