The sports silencer we produce for this version is a lateral replacement terminal with a flanged fitting. It bolts directly onto the original header without requiring any modifications to the bike: the headers remain standard, as does the entire front section of the exhaust system. Only the final terminal is replaced, with a direct and fully reversible installation. The mounting kit is included in the supply. It is available in two sleeve lengths: 285 mm or 400 mm, selectable in the product page according to your aesthetic preferences or space requirements.

An important technical note regarding installation: from one production year to another there may be a slight misalignment of the flange holes. This is a known variation on this platform, normally manageable by slightly enlarging the holes on the exhaust flange. For this reason we recommend entrusting the work to a qualified mechanic, particularly for the correct torque on the flanged joints and the proper alignment of the studs.

In terms of benefits, replacing the original terminal with a sports exhaust produces concrete and perceptible effects on this generation. The weight is reduced significantly compared to the standard silencer. The sound character — already present and direct on this carburetted platform — becomes more defined and full, with a more pronounced voice in the mid rev range. Throttle response can feel more linear and the sense of readiness may improve, particularly under more dynamic riding conditions. As this is a motorcycle without electronic engine management, the terminal interacts with the system in a direct way, without variables related to mappings or control systems.

The dB killer is included as standard in all our silencers. Its removal invalidates the road homologation and is not a practice we recommend. A catalytic converter is not applicable to this version, in line with the original configuration of the bike.

As this is a replacement silencer on a carburetted motorcycle, no ECU remapping is required. The installation is plug-and-play with respect to the original fittings, and in virtually all cases requires no additional electronic intervention.
