The V4 engine of the first-generation VFR 800 is one of those powerplants that left a mark on Honda's production history: a balance between sporting character and everyday usability, with that unmistakable voice that only a V4 can deliver. The VFR 800 in its 1998-2001 generation was already at the time a successful synthesis of refined chassis engineering and high-level mechanics, and even today many owners prefer to enhance it rather than replace it. Ours is a lateral terminal silencer, which replaces the original silencer only, leaving the stock headers untouched. This is not a full exhaust system: the connection is made using the original mounting points, respecting the geometry Honda designed for this model. The mounting kit is included. For a clean and lasting result, we still recommend installation by a mechanic experienced with VFR models, to ensure proper sealing and bracket fitment.
One of the key features of this product is the option to choose the sleeve length between two sizes: 285 mm and 400 mm. The choice affects the overall look of the bike and the visual balance on the side, allowing you to tailor the final result to your own taste. The most immediate benefit is the weight reduction compared to the original silencer, which on this generation of the VFR 800 is far from light. The exhaust note gains definition and fullness, with a more assertive V4 character during acceleration. The weight saving and different internal geometry may contribute to a more responsive throttle feel in the mid and upper rev range, though results always depend on the overall setup of the bike.

The dB killer is included as standard inside the silencer. Removal is not intended and results in loss of homologation. If you are looking for an even lower sound level, the No-Noise option is available: a welded internal filter that further reduces decibels without significantly affecting exhaust performance. As this is a terminal silencer replacement only, the ECU of this VFR 800 generation does not normally require any remapping. The original fuel system continues to operate on its standard setup without any additional intervention.
