The silencers we offer for the CB 1000 R in versions from 2008 to 2016 are replacement silencers: they replace the original muffler while keeping the stock headers and mid-pipes intact. This is not a full exhaust system, and anyone familiar with these bikes knows that's not the kind of modification most riders are looking for. Fitment uses the original mounting points, with the fixing kit included in the package. We still recommend having the installation carried out by a qualified mechanic to ensure a correct and safe fit.
The main advantage over the standard muffler is weight reduction, with a noticeable difference compared to the original Honda terminal, which is often oversized for regulatory and homologation reasons. This is paired with an improvement in exhaust note: the CB 1000 R's four-cylinder gains in definition and fullness, with a more present sound without becoming artificial or unpleasant. We make no promises of power gains: fitting only a silencer does not produce significant performance changes, and it would be misleading to claim otherwise.
Our exhausts are made with handcrafted manufacturing in Lombardy, in the province of Bergamo. Each unit is produced to order and undergoes internal quality control before dispatch. Every silencer comes with a standard dB killer included. Removing the dB killer is not officially supported and results in loss of homologation. For those who need further sound reduction, the No-Noise option is available: a welded internal filter that significantly reduces decibels without notably affecting engine behaviour. Since this is a silencer-only replacement, the ECU does not normally require any remapping. The engine handles the change without particular issues, and the experience of customers who have already fitted our products to this platform confirms this.
