If you use the bike on the road and want to remain compliant with current regulations, the catalysed version is the recommended choice: it integrates a catalytic converter within the silencer body, allowing you to replace the stock end can without giving up road-legal compliance.
Since only the silencer is being replaced, the original catalytic section of the exhaust system remains in place. Modifications to the ECU mapping or any electronic intervention are not normally required: the engine management system continues to operate on its factory parameters, and the bike does not need any particular adjustments after installation.
Every silencer is supplied with a standard dB killer already fitted inside the end can. The dB killer is not officially removable: removing it voids the product's homologation. If you're looking for an even quieter setup, on certain models a No-Noise version is available, selectable directly on the product page. This is a welded internal filter that further reduces the decibel level without significantly affecting performance.
