The Monster 821 2014-2016 comes with a stock exhaust system that includes a catalytic section. In our configurator, the catalytic converter option is available: by selecting it from the drop-down menu on the product page, you can receive the silencer in a catalysed version, which allows road-legal use. It's a choice we recommend you evaluate based on how you use your bike.
Since this is a silencer-only replacement, the Monster 821's ECU does not normally require any remapping. The original exhaust system upstream remains unchanged, and the electronic management continues to operate with factory parameters without generating any faults.
All our silencers are supplied with a standard dB killer fitted. The dB killer is not officially removable: removing it voids the homologation. For those looking for an even quieter sound level, on selected models the No-Noise option is available — a welded internal filter that further reduces decibel output without significantly affecting performance.
