The early-generation Suzuki GSX-R 1000 is a machine that rewrote the benchmarks of the supersport category at the turn of the millennium. The 1000 cc engine, compact and high-revving, was already a technical reference point at the time: aggressive power delivery, contained weight, precise chassis. Those who own one today know they have a machine with a distinct character that is hard to replicate. Ours is a flanged sports silencer designed to replace the original end can in the lateral position. It is a direct fit to the original headers, with no structural modifications required: the headers remain in place, as does the entire front section of the exhaust system. Only the end can is replaced, with a direct and reversible fitment. The mounting kit is included in the package, and compatibility is with the original Suzuki fittings. For installation, we recommend entrusting the work to a qualified mechanic, especially for the correct torque on the flanged joints and for the proper alignment of the studs: from one production year to another there may be a slight misalignment of the holes, normally manageable by slightly enlarging the holes on the exhaust flange.

The weight saving compared to the original end can is immediate and noticeable. The silencer lightens the rear of the bike significantly, with direct benefits on handling during more dynamic riding. The exhaust note becomes more defined and present, with a character that better conveys the nature of the high-revving engine, without becoming uncontrolled or unsuitable for road use. In terms of rideability, replacing the exhaust end can may favour smoother gas flow management and, in some conditions, contribute to a more direct and progressive throttle response. No ECU remapping is normally required for the sole replacement of the end can.

The dB killer is included as standard inside the silencer. Its removal invalidates the product's homologation and is not officially permitted.
