The GSF Bandit 400 is one of those compact Japanese four-cylinders that defined the late 1990s with a clear purpose: a lively engine, lightweight chassis, no frills. A project built for riders who wanted to actually ride — without the weight of a full-fairing supersport and without giving up the pleasure of a four-cylinder that revs freely to the top. If you're looking for a sports exhaust for this bike, you probably know it well already — and you know exactly what you want to improve. For everything related to our products for this brand, you can explore the section exhausts for Suzuki.
Ours is a sports muffler designed to replace the original silencer in the lateral position, maintaining compatibility with the standard mounting points. It does not affect the headers or the mid-section of the exhaust system, which remain the original parts. This is therefore a targeted operation: the factory muffler is removed and ours is installed as a direct replacement, with the mounting kit included in the package. For best results, it is advisable to have the work carried out by a qualified mechanic familiar with the bike.
The most immediate benefit is weight reduction: the original muffler on these Bandit 400s is not particularly light, and replacing it with our sports exhaust results in a noticeable weight saving. On the sound side, the tone becomes fuller and more defined compared to stock, with a more present voice — especially in the mid-range and at higher revs — consistent with the character of the engine. In terms of engine response, the change in exhaust gas flow management can contribute to a more linear throttle response and, under certain riding conditions, a sensation of improved engine readiness.
We manufacture each exhaust silencer in our workshop through handcrafted manufacturing in Lombardy, in the province of Bergamo. Every piece is made to order and undergoes in-house quality control before being shipped. We work direct from the manufacturer, with no middlemen: this allows us to maintain consistent quality and a direct relationship with our customers.
Every muffler comes with a standard dB killer included. Removing the dB killer is not officially permitted: it would invalidate the homologation and make the silencer non-compliant for legal road use. For those who want an even quieter sound profile, the No-Noise option is available: an internally welded filter that further reduces decibels without significantly affecting performance. Both configurations can be selected directly on the product page.
Since this is a silencer-only replacement, no ECU remapping is normally required. The original exhaust system — headers and mid-section — remains unchanged, and replacing the muffler does not generally cause any electronic issues. You can proceed with confidence, knowing that the modification is limited in scope and reversible.
Production times are variable by nature, as each exhaust is made to order. Updated lead times are shown directly at checkout when placing your order. Once your order ships, you will automatically receive tracking information to follow your package.

In the product list below you will find all available versions for the Bandit 400: the differences between one model and another are mainly aesthetic — silencer shape, material, and finish. The No-Noise option can be selected from the drop-down menu on the product page. Open the product page for the version you're interested in to view detailed photos, read the technical specifications, and configure your silencer.
