When Suzuki updated the Bandit with a 650 cc displacement, the goal was clear: refine an already proven formula without changing its essence. The result was a mid-range naked bike with a more mature inline four-cylinder engine, a rounder power delivery in the low-to-mid rev range, and an everyday character that made it appreciated by new riders and experienced ones alike. The versions produced between 2000 and 2006 share a functionally adequate original exhaust system, but one that falls short aesthetically and acoustically of what a sport exhaust can offer. The products in this category are sport silencers designed to replace the original lateral muffler on the Bandit 650. This is not a full exhaust system: the original headers remain in place, and the silencer connects directly to the standard mounting points, with a fitting kit included. The modification is reversible and minimal in scope. For a correct and lasting installation, we recommend having the work carried out by a qualified mechanic.
The most immediate benefit is the improvement in exhaust tone: the Bandit 650's four-cylinder engine, fitted with a sport exhaust terminal, produces a more open and defined sound, with a deeper note that the original tends to muffle. The lower weight compared to the stock muffler results in a tangible weight saving. In terms of performance, smoother gas flow management can contribute to a more responsive throttle and greater linearity in power delivery, particularly in the rev ranges most commonly used on the road.
Replacing only the muffler does not normally require any ECU remapping. The Bandit 650 in these versions does not feature exhaust-related electronic complexity that could trigger faults following this type of modification. A properly executed installation is sufficient for smooth, trouble-free operation.

Every silencer comes with a standard dB killer included. Removing the dB killer invalidates the product's homologation and is not officially permitted. For those looking for a solution with even lower sound output, some models offer the No-Noise option: a welded internal filter that significantly reduces decibels without meaningfully affecting performance. For road use, a version with a catalytic converter is available and can be selected directly from the drop-down menu on the product page. The catalysed version allows road-legal use in compliance with current regulations. Riders using the silencer in non-road or competition contexts may opt for the non-catalysed version.
