For this version, a choice of silencer sleeve length is available: 285 mm or 400 mm. This is not a purely aesthetic difference, even though the visual impact is the most immediate. From a throttle response perspective, replacing the silencer may favour a smoother management of exhaust gas flow and, in certain riding conditions, can contribute to a more linear and immediate throttle response in the most frequently used rev range.

Removing the dB killer voids the product's homologation: we state this clearly because we believe this information should be transparent before purchase. The No-Noise option is also available: a welded internal filter that further reduces the acoustic level without significantly affecting engine behaviour. Since this is a silencer-only replacement, the stock ECU does not normally require remapping. The standard engine management unit of the SV 650 2007-2008 is capable of handling the change without any additional intervention.
