The products in this category are sports mufflers designed to replace the original lateral silencer on the SV 650 (1998-2002). This is not a full exhaust system: the original headers remain in place, along with the entire front section of the exhaust. The muffler connects to the original mounting points using the fitting kit included in the package. Installation is compatible with the motorcycle's standard geometry and requires no structural modifications, but we recommend entrusting the job to a qualified mechanic for a correct and safe fitment.

The first noticeable effect is on weight: the stock silencer on this generation is not particularly light, and replacing it with an aftermarket muffler results in a meaningful weight reduction, beneficial both on the scales and in terms of mass distribution. The exhaust note changes appreciably: the 90° V-twin has a naturally distinctive voice, and a sports silencer helps make it more defined and full, without altering the character of the bike. Since this is a silencer-only replacement, the SV 650's ECU does not normally require remapping or any modification to the fuelling. The original engine management is capable of adapting to the change without additional intervention. No cause for concern: this is a modification fully compatible with the stock electronics of this generation.
