The silencers we offer for the DL V-Strom 1000 are designed to replace the original lateral terminals in the standard dual configuration. This is not a full exhaust system: the original headers remain in place, along with the entire front section of the exhaust. Our intervention concerns exclusively the two end silencers, which are replaced with sports silencers compatible with the original mounting points. The fitting kit is included. For best results and to avoid installation issues, we recommend having the work carried out by a qualified mechanic.
The first tangible benefit is weight reduction: the stock terminals on the V-Strom 1000 are far from lightweight, and replacing them with a dual sports silencer delivers a noticeable weight saving, with positive effects on mass distribution. In terms of sound, the exhaust note gains definition and fullness: the V-twin expresses its character more clearly at mid and high revs, with a more present tone without tipping into excess. On the throttle response side, the weight reduction and different internal flow management can contribute to a more direct-feeling throttle response, particularly when riding at mid-range rpm.

Every silencer comes with a dB killer fitted as standard. Its removal is not officially supported and voids any homologation. For those who need further sound reduction — for example in environments with noise restrictions — the No-Noise option is available: a welded internal filter that further reduces decibels without significantly affecting overall performance. As this is a terminal-only replacement, the original ECU of the V-Strom 1000 does not normally require any remapping. The engine continues to receive signals from the original components left in place, and adaptation occurs without additional intervention in the vast majority of cases.
