Our silencers for the CRF 1000 L Africa Twin (2016-2019) are lateral slip-on replacements, compatible with the original mounting point. They do not replace the headers or any other section of the exhaust system: they are designed to replace the stock silencer only, maintaining the lateral position specified by Honda. A fitting kit is included in the package. For best results, installation by a qualified mechanic is recommended.
The main benefit is a reduction in weight compared to the original silencer, which on this motorcycle is not particularly compact. The sound gains in definition and fullness: the parallel twin develops a more present and distinctive tone, without harshness or excessive volume. In terms of throttle response, a well-designed aftermarket silencer works in favour of mid-range smoothness — which is precisely where this engine delivers its best.

A dB killer is included as standard with every silencer. Please note that removing it invalidates the component's homologation. For those looking for further noise reduction, a No-Noise option is available on selected models: an internally welded filter that further reduces overall sound levels without significant impact on performance. Since this is a slip-on replacement only, the motorcycle's ECU does not normally require any remapping. The rest of the exhaust system remains unchanged and the engine management system adapts without additional intervention.
