KTM built this bike around that engine with real-world use in mind — not brochures — with chassis geometry that differs between the standard version and the R, suited to those looking for more ground clearance and more sophisticated suspension. What we offer is a single silencer in a lateral position, designed to replace the original end can while keeping the stock headers in place. This is not a full exhaust system: the modification concerns exclusively the end body, which connects to the original mounting points without requiring any structural changes. The fitting kit is included in the package. For installation, we recommend entrusting the work to a qualified mechanic, if only to verify correct tightening and the absence of leaks.
The most immediate benefit is weight reduction: the original end can of the 790 Adventure is not particularly light, and replacing it with our silencer provides a tangible benefit in terms of unsprung weight at a high lateral position. The exhaust note improves in definition and fullness, with a more characterful sound than the original but calibrated for everyday road and off-road use. We operate as direct from the manufacturer, which allows us to ensure a consistent quality-to-price ratio and direct support without intermediaries.
Every silencer includes a standard dB killer fitted inside the end body. Removing the dB killer invalidates the homologation and is not something we recommend for road use. If you are looking for an even quieter solution, check the product page to see whether the No-Noise option is available: this is an internally welded filter that further reduces outlet decibels without significantly affecting engine behaviour.
As this is a replacement of the end can only, the original catalytic section remains in place. Under normal conditions, no ECU remapping is required: the engine autonomously manages the back-pressure variations typical of this type of modification, without the need for specific electronic reworking.
