The parallel twin engine of the Duke 790 was one of the most discussed engines at launch: compact, lightweight, with a surprisingly linear power delivery curve for its category and a character that expresses itself from mid-range onwards. A motorcycle built around the concept of dynamic lightness, with a steel trellis frame that makes its low weight its raison d'être. On a platform so focused on the riding experience, every component matters — and the exhaust is no exception.

Our exhausts for KTM for the Duke 790 2018-2020 are designed as sport silencers that replace the original muffler, keeping the stock headers and connectors intact. This is not a full exhaust system: the intervention concerns exclusively the end can, compatible with the motorcycle's original fittings. The mounting kit is included in the package. For a correct installation without any issues, we recommend entrusting the job to a qualified mechanic.

The most immediate benefit is weight reduction: the stock muffler on the 790 is not particularly light, and replacing it with a sport silencer results in a noticeable weight saving, consistent with the motorcycle's construction philosophy. In terms of sound, the tone improves noticeably: the Duke 790 with the standard end can tends to sound somewhat muted in the higher frequencies. Our sport exhaust delivers a fuller sound, with a more defined voice that better reflects the character of the parallel twin. No promises of radical transformations, but a concrete and appreciable difference. Regarding engine response, the change in back pressure management can favour a more immediate and linear throttle response, with a feeling of greater readiness especially during road riding.

We manufacture every exhaust in our workshop with handcrafted manufacturing in Lombardy, in the province of Bergamo. Each piece is made to order and undergoes internal quality control before shipment. Direct from the manufacturer sales allow us to guarantee consistent build standards without intermediaries.

Every exhaust end can comes with a standard dB killer included. Removing the dB killer invalidates the homologation and is not an officially supported use.

Since this is a replacement of the end can only, the Duke 790's ECU does not normally require any remapping: the engine management system adapts without specific interventions, and the original catalytic section remains in place. No electronic modifications are required in the standard configuration.
