The sports silencer we offer for the KTM 1090 Adventure is designed to replace the original muffler, intervening on the final section of the exhaust system. This is not a full exhaust system: the original headers remain in place, as does the mid-section of the exhaust circuit. Fitment is to the original mounting points, with the fixing kit included in the package. We recommend installation by a qualified mechanic to ensure correct sealing and alignment of the silencer in its lateral position.

The most immediate benefit is weight reduction compared to the stock muffler, which on this bike is generously sized and not insignificant in weight. In terms of sound, the result is a fuller and more defined tone, giving a more audible character to the parallel-twin LC8 engine, without radical transformation. On the engine response side, the change in back pressure at the outlet section can promote a more direct feel from the power delivery, with throttle response that in certain conditions may feel more linear and immediate, particularly during mid-range riding.

Every exhaust silencer comes with a dB killer included as standard. Its removal is not officially supported: any disassembly voids the product's homologation and falls under the rider's own responsibility.

As this modification is limited to the silencer, the 1090 Adventure's ECU does not normally require any remapping. Replacing only the end can generally falls within the engine management system's adaptive range, with no need for reprogramming. That said, for specific requirements related to intended use or particular configurations, consulting your trusted mechanic is always the most reliable course of action.
