Exhausts Ktm 1290 Superduke 2017-2020

Mufflers, silencers and complete sport exhausts Ktm 1290 Superduke 2017-2020

The LC8 1301 cc engine of the 1290 Super Duke R is one of those powerplants that defines a motorcycle's character before you even ride it. Powerful, direct, with torque that kicks in decisively from mid-range: everything around this V-twin has been engineered for riders who want real sensations, unfiltered. An extreme naked setup, supersport-derived chassis, aggressive geometry. In this context, every component matters - including the exhaust. You can find the full range of exhausts for KTM on our website.

The sports silencer we offer for the 1290 Super Duke R (2017-2020) is designed to replace the original muffler, leaving the factory headers and connections unchanged. This is not a full exhaust system: the upgrade concerns exclusively the end can, the part you see, hear, and feel the weight of every time you get on the bike. Fitment uses the original mounting points, with an included fitting kit. We recommend installation by a qualified mechanic to ensure correct positioning and a proper seal.

The most immediate benefit is weight reduction compared to the stock muffler: the original 1290 end can is generous in both size and weight, and replacing it with a stainless steel or titanium silencer results in a noticeable reduction in unsprung rear mass. On the acoustic side, the tone becomes fuller and more defined, with a voice that better reflects the character of the LC8 V-twin - without exaggeration, but with a presence that is far more satisfying than stock. On the performance side, optimised flow management can favour a more linear throttle response and a feeling of greater responsiveness, particularly during spirited road riding.

Every sports exhaust is handcrafted in Lombardy, in the province of Bergamo. Each piece is made to order and undergoes careful quality control before shipping. Sold directly, with no intermediaries, these exhausts come with consistent build standards and a value-for-money ratio that large distribution channels can rarely match.

Every exhaust end can is supplied as standard with a dB killer fitted. Removing the dB killer is technically possible but voids the product's homologation and makes road use illegal: we state this clearly because we believe buyers should know exactly what they are purchasing.

As this modification is limited to the end can, the motorcycle's ECU does not normally require any remapping. The fuel injection system can self-adapt to the new flow conditions without the need for forced remapping. No cause for concern: this is an aesthetic and acoustic upgrade with possible positive effects on overall performance, not an invasive modification to the exhaust system.

Production times vary depending on the period and workload: up-to-date lead times are always shown directly at checkout before confirming your order. Once your order has been dispatched, you will automatically receive a tracking code to follow your delivery.

For any technical questions - compatibility, differences between finishes, fitment specifications - we invite you to consult the FAQ section or contact us via the Contact page or the live chat available on the site. We respond with direct expertise, without going through intermediaries.

To optimise the ECU as well, our Alientech Powergate 4 remapping kit is available, with up to 4 maps included, calibrated on the bike configuration: KTM Super Duke 1290 (2014-2019) and KTM Super Duke 1290/1390 Euro5 (2020-2025). The map also removes the MIL warning light, which can come on with the non-catalysed version.

Below this description you will find the product list available for the 1290 Super Duke R 2017-2020. The differences between variants are mainly aesthetic: end can shape, material (stainless steel, carbon, titanium) and surface finish. Open the product page to view detailed photos, read the technical specifications and configure your sports silencer.
