It shares the Euro 4 parallel-twin 500 cc engine and trellis frame with the standard TRK 502, but the chassis has been revised to offer greater stability on rough surfaces and a taller, more commanding riding position. In Italy it quickly became a benchmark among affordable adventure bikes, partly thanks to its A2 licence compatibility. The headers and the front section of the exhaust system remain standard: the upgrade concerns the final section only. Each silencer comes with a complete fitting kit, compatible with the bike's original mounting points, for a straightforward installation with no structural modifications. For the best results, we recommend having the silencer fitted by a qualified mechanic or a trusted workshop.
Fitting a sport silencer to the TRK 502 X makes a noticeable difference in two key areas. The first is weight: the original end can is fairly heavy and mounted high up, which affects the mass distribution. A lighter silencer improves handling, especially during slow manoeuvres and on dirt tracks where the bike works harder. The second is sound: the parallel-twin on the 502 X has a naturally subdued tone, and a sport silencer gives it a more defined and present voice — without excess, but with a more recognisable character. All silencers come with a standard dB killer included, ensuring compliance with the noise limits required by type approval. The dB killer is not officially removable: its removal voids the silencer's homologation. For those who prefer an even quieter sound, some models offer the No-Noise version: a welded internal filter that further reduces decibel levels without significantly affecting performance. The No-Noise version, where available, can be selected directly on the product page.
Since only the silencer is being replaced, the ECU on the TRK 502 X does not normally require any remapping. The engine management system continues to operate with its original parameters, and the installation does not typically cause any faults or electronic warnings.
