Mufflers, silencers and complete sport exhausts Aprilia Tuono 1000 1999-2003

The Aprilia Tuono 1000 is one of those motorcycles that redefined the concept of a sporty naked bike between the late Nineties and the early 2000s. Born from the RSV Mille platform, it brings to the road a 998cc V-twin with a raw delivery that needs no introduction for anyone who has ridden one at least once. Wide handlebars, supersport-derived chassis geometry and a character that simply asks to be unleashed: the Tuono is a bike that makes itself heard, in every sense. If you are looking for exhaust systems for Aprilia, this is one of the most rewarding platforms to work on in terms of sound and personality.

The silencers we offer for the Tuono 1000 are designed as slip-on mufflers, which means they replace only the original end can, mounted in the lateral position. The headers and the rest of the exhaust system remain standard. Every product is supplied with the fitting kit required for installation on the original mounting points, with no modifications needed to the frame or chassis. For the best results and to ensure a proper seal, we always recommend having the silencer fitted by a qualified mechanic or a trusted workshop.

Replacing the stock end can with one of our silencers brings tangible, measurable benefits. The first is weight reduction: the standard silencers on the Tuono 1000 are far from light, and switching to an aftermarket muffler reduces weight at the rear of the bike with a noticeable improvement in everyday handling. The second is the exhaust note: the Rotax V-twin in the Tuono has a naturally deep, uneven voice, and a less restrictive end can allows a fuller, more defined sound to come through - that husky, distinctive tone that owners of this bike are after. We are not talking about dramatic transformations or miraculous power gains, but about a sound character that is more faithful to the engine's true personality.

Every exhaust you find on this page is handcrafted in Lombardy, in the province of Bergamo. These are not catalogue products bought in and resold: each silencer is made to order and carefully inspected before shipping. This allows us to maintain a consistent quality standard and to give every single piece the attention it deserves. These exhausts are sold directly, with no middlemen, and whoever answers your questions knows them inside out: selling without intermediaries is how we work, and it allows us to offer a quality-to-price ratio that is hard to find elsewhere.

All our silencers are supplied with a standard dB killer already fitted. The dB killer is not officially removable: its removal invalidates the road-legal homologation. It is an integral part of the product and must be kept in place to comply with current regulations.

Since only the silencer is being replaced, the ECU on the Tuono 1000 does not normally require any mapping changes or additional electronic work. The intake system and the headers remain unchanged, and the aftermarket silencer does not alter engine operating parameters to a degree that would call for a remap. In short: fit it, torque everything up, and you are ready to ride.

Up-to-date production lead times are always visible during checkout, so you can have a clear indication before confirming your order. Once the product has been dispatched, you will automatically receive a tracking code to follow the delivery.

If you have any technical questions about compatibility or installation, we invite you to check the FAQ section on our website or to contact us directly via the Contact page or the live chat. We are happy to answer any question, even before you purchase.

To optimise the ECU as well, our Alientech Powergate 4 remapping kit for Aprilia Tuono 1000 (2002-2011) is available, with up to 4 maps included, calibrated on the bike configuration. The map also removes the MIL warning light, which can come on with the non-catalysed version.

Below you will find the product list available for the Aprilia Tuono 1000 1999-2003. The differences between the various silencers are mainly aesthetic: shape, material and finish vary, allowing you to choose the one that best suits the look you want for your bike.
