The products we offer for the Dorsoduro 750 are pairs of underseat silencers, designed to replace the original end cans. The front section of the stock exhaust system — header, link pipe and original catalytic converter — stays in place. The replacement covers only the pair of end cans that exit beneath the tail. Each pair is supplied with a complete fitting kit: link pipes, springs, mounting straps with anti-vibration rubber inserts, spacers and dedicated brackets. Installation uses the original mounting points, with no modifications to the frame or the exhaust system required. We still recommend having the work done by an experienced mechanic, particularly with the dual underseat layout where correct positioning of both silencers affects the final result.
The advantages of replacing the original end cans on the Dorsoduro 750 are tangible and easy to appreciate. The first concerns weight: the stock silencers are built to cost-driven criteria and end up noticeably heavier than an aftermarket pair in titanium or carbon fibre. Reducing weight in the upper-rear area of the bike has a direct impact on its agility through corners — an aspect that, on a supermotard, makes a real difference. The second advantage is the exhaust note. The 750 cc V-twin already has a well-defined voice from the factory, but the original end cans tend to muffle it considerably. The Dorsoduro 750 is a Euro 3 homologated model. In our configuration, the replacement covers only the pair of end cans and the link pipes connecting them to the existing system. The original catalytic converter and the stock lambda sensor remain in position and are not modified.
Every silencer is supplied with a standard six-hole dB killer fitted as standard. Removal of the dB killer is not officially intended and voids the road-use homologation. On selected models the No-Noise option is also available — a sound-dampening insert welded internally that further lowers the noise level without significantly affecting exhaust behaviour. The option can be selected, where available, directly on the product page.
Since only the silencers are being replaced, ECU remapping is not normally required. The Dorsoduro 750's engine management system does not need any additional intervention when only the end cans are swapped, and the bike's electronics continue to operate as normal.
