The silencers we offer for the Dorsoduro 1200 are designed as a pair of underseat end cans, replacing the original silencers. This is not a full exhaust system: the headers and the front section of the exhaust remain stock. Each pair of silencers comes with a complete fitting kit — link pipes, springs, strap mounts with rubber inserts, spacers and brackets — to ensure a precise installation on the original mounting points. No structural modifications are required. For the best result, we recommend having the installation carried out by a qualified mechanic or trusted workshop, especially given the dual underseat configuration where proper alignment matters.

Replacing the original end cans on the Dorsoduro 1200 delivers tangible, noticeable benefits. The first is weight reduction: the stock silencers on this bike are bulky and quite heavy, and a pair of aftermarket end cans in titanium or carbon fibre significantly reduces weight at the rear, with a positive effect on handling. The second benefit is the exhaust note: the 1200 cc V-twin has a naturally deep and distinctive voice, and a pair of sport silencers brings out its tone without distorting it, delivering a fuller, more defined sound especially in the mid-range. The Dorsoduro 1200 is a Euro 3 homologated model. In the configuration we offer, the replacement covers the end cans and the link pipe connecting them to the existing system. Within the drop-down menu of each product page you can select the version with an integrated catalytic converter: by choosing this option, the silencer is supplied with a catalytic converter fitted, allowing road-legal use. If you select the version without a catalytic converter, the exhaust will be suitable for track use or private roads only.

Every silencer includes a standard six-hole dB killer fitted as standard. Its removal is not officially intended and voids the road-use homologation. For those who want an even lower noise level, on selected models the No-Noise option is available: a welded internal baffle that further reduces decibel output without significantly affecting performance. Since only the silencers are being replaced, ECU remapping is not normally required. The stock exhaust system remains in place upstream of the silencers, and the bike's electronics are not affected by the installation. It is a straightforward swap that does not call for remaps or any additional work on the electronics.
