This means the work is limited to the final section of the exhaust system: the headers and original mid-pipe stay in place, and the new silencer bolts directly onto the standard mounting points. Each kit comes complete with everything needed for installation, including gaskets and hardware. Compatibility with the original fittings is guaranteed, but we always recommend having the installation carried out by a qualified mechanic or someone with specific experience, to avoid sealing or alignment issues.

There are essentially two tangible benefits you can expect from replacing the original end cans. The first is weight reduction: the stock silencers on the Falco, like on many bikes of that era, are quite heavy. Switching to an aftermarket silencer means removing weight from the rear of the bike, with a noticeable benefit in overall handling. The second is the sound: the Falco's V-twin already has an appealing tone of its own, and a pair of aftermarket silencers bring out a fuller, more defined note, especially in the mid-range where this engine is at its best. Inside each silencer there is a standard dB killer, already fitted. This component is an integral part of the product and its removal invalidates any form of homologation. It is not officially intended to be removed. For those looking for an even quieter noise level, on some models the No-Noise version is available: this is a welded internal baffle that further reduces the decibel level without significantly affecting performance. Since only the end cans are being replaced, the Falco's ECU does not normally require any changes to the mapping. The engine management system continues to work with the original parameters, as the headers and sensors all remain in place. It's a modification that introduces no additional electronic complexity.
