The silencers we offer for the RSV 1000 1999-2003 are designed as a direct replacement for the original muffler, in a single configuration with a lateral outlet. This is not a full exhaust system: the headers and the rest of the original exhaust line remain in place. Each silencer comes with a fitting kit for installation on the stock mounting points, with no modifications needed to the frame or the existing exhaust layout. For the best results, we recommend having the work done by a qualified mechanic, especially for proper adjustment and final tightening.
What actually changes compared to the stock silencer? Every silencer comes with a standard dB killer already fitted. Its presence ensures a contained noise level compatible with responsible road use. The dB killer is not officially removable: its removal invalidates any form of homologation. Where indicated on the product page, a No-Noise version is also available: a welded internal filter that further reduces decibel levels without significantly affecting performance. It can be selected directly in the product configuration.
