The Tiger 1050 was launched in 2007 as a direct evolution of the Tiger family, housing under its fairing the same 1050 cc inline three-cylinder engine as the Speed Triple, but retuned for more versatile use. The result is an engine that pulls consistently from low revs all the way to the rev limiter, with generous torque that makes the bike equally suited to daily city riding and fast mixed-road transfers. The original exhaust system is a steel three-into-one with a high lateral silencer: a solid and functional solution, but one that leaves room for those who want to improve the sound and reduce weight with something more defined. The sport silencer we produce for the Tiger 1050 is designed to replace the original muffler, leaving the headers and the mid-section of the exhaust system unchanged. This is not a full system replacement: our sport exhaust silencer fits the original fittings of the motorcycle without requiring any structural modifications. The original catalytic section remains in place, as our intervention concerns exclusively the final silencer. The mounting kit is included in the supply with everything needed for installation. For best results, it is advisable to have the fitting carried out by a qualified mechanic.

The 1050 cc three-cylinder has a naturally full and rich exhaust note, with a tonal character that the original muffler tends to suppress more than the engine deserves. Replacing the silencer with a sport exhaust silencer allows that sound to come through, delivering a richer and more distinctive tone without going overboard. In terms of weight, the difference compared to the standard muffler can be significant on a motorcycle of this displacement, with positive effects on mass distribution and perceived agility. In some configurations, the different management of exhaust gas flow can favour a more direct throttle response and smoother power delivery in the most frequently used rev range. Both options can be selected directly on the product page. Removing the dB killer invalidates the road homologation.

With only the sport silencer installed, ECU remapping is generally not required. The motorcycle operates normally without any additional electronic intervention. Any optimisations can be evaluated on a case-by-case basis depending on the chosen configuration and specific model.
