Unveiled at EICMA in 2011, the Tiger 1200 Explorer marked a decisive step up for Triumph: not a maxi enduro derived from a roadster, but a grand tourer with an adventure soul built around a 1215 cc liquid-cooled inline three-cylinder engine, DOHC with 12 valves and shaft final drive. A project built for distance, with a 20-litre tank, generous bodywork protection and a chassis featuring an aluminium single-sided swingarm capable of managing the weight and maintaining stability even under full load. The original exhaust channels the three headers into a single stainless steel silencer positioned on the right-hand side: a robust solution consistent with the touring philosophy of the motorcycle, but one that leaves room for those who want to work on weight and sound character. The sport silencer we produce for the Tiger 1200 Explorer 2011-2015 is designed to replace the original muffler, leaving the headers and the mid-section of the exhaust system unchanged. This is not a full system replacement: our sport exhaust silencer attaches to the original fittings of the motorcycle without requiring any structural modifications. The original catalytic section remains in place, as our intervention concerns exclusively the final silencer. The mounting kit is included in the supply with everything needed for installation. For best results, it is always advisable to have the fitting carried out by a qualified mechanic.

Both options can be selected directly on the product page. Removing the dB killer invalidates the road homologation.
With only the sport silencer installed, ECU remapping is generally not required. The motorcycle operates normally without any additional electronic intervention. Any optimisations can be evaluated on a case-by-case basis depending on the chosen configuration.
