Triumph Daytona 1050 (2014-2021)

The 1,050 cc Triumph triple is the engine that powered the Speed Triple, Sprint ST and Tiger of this generation: full power delivery at every rpm and the unmistakable sound of the British three-cylinder. This category covers the builds based on this mechanical package and listed as Daytona 1050. Stock figures: 1,050 cc, 135 hp (99 kW) at 9,400 rpm, 111 Nm at 7,750 rpm. The remapping kit for this model is part of the Triumph ECU remapping range.

This category offers the ECU remapping kit for Triumph Daytona 1050 (2014-2021): the Alientech Powergate 4 tool, the cable specific to this model and up to 4 racing maps for the same bike, to be requested one at a time. This is not a piggyback unit or a module wired between the sensors: the Powergate reprograms the original ECU directly, connecting to the diagnostic port. The price includes both the device and the full mapping service, not just the hardware.

Compatibility. The name Daytona 1050 does not correspond to a production model: Triumph never built a Daytona with the 1,050 cc triple. The closest reference is the Daytona 1050R, built in a handful of units in 2014 by the British dealer Pure Triumph on a Speed Triple R base. Dedicated maps are available for the Speed Triple 1050, Sprint ST 1050 and Tiger 1050. Please specify the exact model and year when submitting the original map.

How it works. After the purchase the tool and the dedicated cable are shipped. The Powergate is connected to the diagnostic port, the smartphone app is opened and the original ECU map is read: it is saved automatically and stays available for a restore. The file read is sent to Roadsitalia: we develop the map for the configuration indicated and send it back by e-mail. It is uploaded through the app and the bike is ready. Nothing needs to be dismantled and no workshop visit is required.

Up to 4 maps for the same bike. The maps are not delivered all at once: the one matching the configuration indicated at the time of purchase is supplied first. The kit entitles the owner to request up to four in total for the same bike, at no extra cost. If the configuration changes later, for example by fitting a sports exhaust, removing the catalytic converter or adding a sports air filter, an updated map can simply be requested: it is prepared for the new configuration.

Why a map developed on this model. The maps are not generic files taken from an archive: they are built from the original map read from the ECU, which reflects the model year and the exact configuration of the bike. Two examples of the same model from different years can carry different calibrations, and starting from the real file is the only way to account for that.

The bike configuration makes the difference. Four pieces of information are requested at the time of purchase: exhaust, catalytic converter, dB killer and air filter. Each of these parts belongs to the intake or the exhaust system, and the map is calibrated on the configuration declared. A bike with a full aftermarket exhaust and no catalytic converter needs a different calibration from a completely stock one. When the real configuration is indicated, the first map supplied is already the correct one.

Intended use and reversibility. The racing maps are developed for track use and for vehicles not intended for use on public roads. The original factory map is saved before every change and can be restored whenever required: the work is fully reversible, which is also worth considering with a future resale of the bike in mind.

Alientech is a benchmark name in ECU programming for cars, motorcycles and special vehicles, and the working standard for professionals in the field. The Powergate 4 is its latest generation: app-driven, compact and connected directly to the diagnostic port. The map development is handled by Roadsitalia, with direct sales and a direct line to the customer for any technical need.

The kit pairs naturally with a sports exhaust system: if the exhaust has already been replaced, or its replacement is being considered, a dedicated map is what allows it to be used to the full. For questions about compatibility, procedure or configuration please contact us through the Contact page or in chat: we answer case by case.

The kit for Triumph Daytona 1050 (2014-2021) is shown below this description. The product page has photos of the tool, the full procedure and the drop-down menus for indicating the bike configuration, so that the map supplied is already calibrated on it.
