The 798 cc liquid-cooled parallel twin powering the BMW F 800 GT stands as one of the most well-balanced platforms in the mid-size sport-touring segment. Produced from 2013 to 2020, the F 800 GT picked up where the F 800 ST left off, delivering 90 HP, an aluminium twin-spar frame and a belt final drive that ensures smooth and quiet riding. A motorcycle built for those who want to cover long distances without giving up an engaging ride, thanks to its light chassis and a riding position that won't wear you out. Our catalogue of BMW exhausts includes model-specific silencers designed to enhance its character without altering its nature.
The silencers listed on this page are slip-on units that replace the original muffler on the F 800 GT. The headers and the upstream section of the exhaust system remain standard: the swap only involves the end silencer, mounted in the lateral position. Each silencer comes with a complete fitting kit, designed to work with the original mounting points with no modifications to the frame or brackets. Installation is manageable for those with mechanical experience, but we still recommend having a qualified mechanic carry out the job to ensure a correct and safe fit.
The practical benefits of replacing the stock silencer come down to two key points. The first is weight reduction: depending on the material chosen, our silencers weigh noticeably less than the original unit, with a tangible benefit especially during low-speed manoeuvres and overall handling. The second is the exhaust note: the sound becomes fuller and more defined compared to the stock muffler, bringing out more of the parallel twin's character. We're not talking about radical transformations or power gains – this is a silencer, not a full exhaust system – but a noticeable improvement that makes the riding experience more rewarding.
All our exhausts are born from handcrafted manufacturing in Lombardy, in the province of Bergamo. Every unit is made to order and goes through an in-house quality check before being packed and shipped. This allows us to maintain consistent standards and to look after every detail, from welding to surface finish. By purchasing from Roadsitalia you are buying direct from the manufacturer, with no middlemen between the people who build the exhaust and the rider who fits it to their bike.
A standard dB killer is included with every silencer. It should be considered an integral part of the product: its removal is not officially intended and voids the homologation. For those looking for an even quieter setup, the No-Noise option is available on selected models – a welded internal baffle that further reduces decibel levels without significantly affecting performance. Where available, this option can be selected directly on the product page.
Since only the silencer is being replaced, the stock exhaust system upstream – including the catalytic converter section – remains in place. Modifications to the ECU mapping or any electronic intervention are not normally required. The engine management system continues to operate on its original parameters, making installation a straightforward process free of technical complications.
Up-to-date production lead times are always visible during checkout. Once the exhaust is handed over to the courier, you will automatically receive tracking information to follow the shipment through to delivery.
If you have any questions about the product, compatibility or installation, we invite you to check the FAQ section on the site or get in touch via the Contact page or live chat. We're happy to help with any query, including technical ones.
Below you will find the product list available for the BMW F 800 GT. The differences between the various silencers are mainly aesthetic: shape, material and finish. Where available, you can also select the No-Noise option from the drop-down menu.
