The Yamaha Tracer 900 is the sport tourer that defined a segment. When it arrived in dealerships in spring 2015, it had no direct rivals: it took the 847cc CP3 inline three-cylinder from the MT-09 — 115 hp, generous and linear torque across the entire rev range — and dressed it with a half fairing, adjustable windscreen and adjustable seat without losing its character. In 2017 the chassis was revised to improve high-speed stability, and in 2018 the GT version arrived with electronically adjustable KYB suspension, hard side cases, bidirectional quickshifter and heated grips as standard. Two generations, three versions — base 2015-2016, base and GT 2017-2020 — sharing the same engine and the same philosophy: a motorcycle that does not ask you to choose between sportiness and versatility. This section contains all the exhaust solutions we produce for the Tracer 900 range, organised into subcategories dedicated to individual models: Tracer 900 2015-2016 and Tracer 900/GT 2017-2020. The original exhaust system is designed as a single unit — headers, mid-section and silencer form an inseparable assembly — which is why we offer exclusively full exhaust systems, replacing the entire system from the engine outlet to the end of the silencer. Replacement of the silencer only is not available. On both models the original silencer is positioned in an under-engine configuration with a low exit near the swingarm, a solution that keeps the centre of gravity low and the masses centralised. Our systems replicate this standard configuration, preserving the handling characteristics of the motorcycle. For those who prefer a higher lateral position that is more aesthetically visible, the Lateral Exhaust Kit is available separately: it brings the silencer to the side of the motorcycle and includes all the components necessary for installation without modifications. On the 847cc CP3 the benefits of a full exhaust system are immediate and perceptible. The Yamaha three-cylinder already has a distinctive sound as standard — that mid-to-high pitch characteristic of inline engines with irregular firing intervals — which with the right system becomes fuller, more present and more defined in the mid-rev range, where the CP3 expresses the best of its character. The weight reduction compared to the original system lightens the motorcycle in a peripheral area, with positive effects on direction changes and low-speed manoeuvrability. Optimised flow management along the entire exhaust tract can also promote more direct throttle response and more linear progression. Actual benefits vary depending on the model and configuration chosen.
All models available in this section are approved for use on public roads throughout Europe and Switzerland, with the homologation certificate included in the supply. The dB killer is supplied as standard. Where available, the No-Noise version offers further noise reduction thanks to a welded internal filter. The catalytic converter is available as an option for both models: since the original exhaust system is fitted with a catalytic converter, choosing the catalysed version is necessary to maintain full road compliance. The version without catalytic converter is intended for track use or in contexts where road compliance is not required, within the limits permitted by local regulations.
All Roadsitalia exhausts for the Tracer 900 range are the result of handcrafted manufacturing in Lombardy, in the province of Bergamo. Many products are made to order, with internal processing and assembly and direct quality control at every stage. Direct from the manufacturer eliminates intermediaries and results in a more transparent relationship, both regarding the product and after-sales support.
The systems are designed to be compatible with the original mounting points of the bike and are supplied complete with fitting kit. In most cases ECU remapping is not required, although the situation may vary depending on the configuration adopted and the specific model. Any optimisations can be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
