1. Compatibility and approval: both models are made for the Yamaha MT-03 from 2016 onwards, so also for your 2020 one, and they are homologated for road use. They replace only the silencer and the link pipe, with the same connections as the original: the original catalytic converter and lambda sensor stay in place.

2. Documentation: the homologation certificate is included in the price and can be downloaded free of charge from the customer area of the site, by logging in with the e-mail used for the order. To ride in Italy there is no need to update the registration certificate or complete any other procedures: you just need to carry the certificate, with the code that matches the one engraved on the bands of the silencer.

3. Noise: Special and Short are both oval silencers of the same size, so the sound is very similar. The fullest homologated configuration is the one with the standard db-killer (without the No Noise option). If you are looking for a slightly more decisive sound, the round models are slightly louder than the oval ones because they have less internal volume, although the difference is small. We do not provide specific decibel values, because they vary from motorcycle to motorcycle (engine configuration, place of use, engine series).

4. Db-killer: yes, the configuration homologated for the road is the one with the db-killer installed (both the standard and the No Noise). By law it is not removable and it is fixed with a rivet. Only for track use or on private roads can the rivet be drilled out and the db-killer removed, at your own risk and without warranty.

5. Differences between the models: they are mainly aesthetic. The Special has the rear end cap in carbon, the Short has the classic outlet. Sound, performance, weight and heat are very similar: choose the one you like best.

6. Fitting: both arrive ready to fit, without modifications and without the need for an ECU, with silencer, link pipe, springs, silencer strap with rubber, spacers and brackets, db-killer and high-temperature stickers. They are compatible with the original standard components of the motorcycle. For fitting we always recommend a specialised mechanic.

7. Warranty and support: the warranty is 2 years from delivery for defects (excluding wear parts and damage from modifications or incorrect fitting). With the exhaust you can add the Roads Protection Plus extended warranty, which also covers damage from falls and accidental damage. In case of any problem, just write to us with the order number and some photos and we will check it together right away.
