Kove

This section offers the ECU remapping kits for Kove motorcycles: one model, each with its own dedicated cable and with up to 4 racing maps for the same bike, developed from the original map read from the ECU. The kit includes the Alientech Powergate 4 tool, the specific cable and the full mapping service. All the brands covered are listed in the motorcycle ECU remapping section.

This is not a piggyback unit or a module wired between the sensors: the Powergate reprograms the original ECU directly. That is why the map is not a generic file taken from an archive, but is built from the real file of the bike, which reflects the model year and the specific configuration.

How it works. After the purchase the tool and the dedicated cable are shipped. The Powergate is connected to the diagnostic port, the smartphone app is opened and the original ECU map is read: it is saved automatically and stays available for a restore. Once the reading is complete, the app automatically sends it to our technicians: we develop the map for the configuration indicated, which arrives directly in the app with a notification on the smartphone. It is uploaded in a few taps and the bike is ready. Nothing needs to be dismantled and no workshop visit is required.

Up to 4 maps for the same bike. The maps are not delivered all at once: the one matching the configuration indicated at the time of purchase is supplied first. The kit entitles the owner to request up to four in total for the same bike, at no extra cost. If the configuration changes later, for example by fitting a sports exhaust, removing the catalytic converter or adding a sports air filter, an updated map can simply be requested: it is prepared for the new configuration.

The bike configuration makes the difference. Four pieces of information are requested at the time of purchase: exhaust, catalytic converter, dB killer and air filter. Each of these parts belongs to the intake or the exhaust system, and the map is calibrated on the configuration declared. A bike with a full aftermarket exhaust and no catalytic converter needs a different calibration from a completely stock one. When the real configuration is indicated, the first map supplied is already the correct one. The map also removes the MIL warning light (the amber check engine light) that can come on after removing the catalytic converter or fitting a full exhaust system, including on Euro 5+ bikes with a second lambda sensor.

Intended use and reversibility. The racing maps are developed for track use and for vehicles not intended for use on public roads. The original factory map is saved before every change and can be restored whenever required: the work is fully reversible, which is also worth considering with a future resale of the bike in mind.
