This is a targeted replacement of the end cans on both the right and left sides, which bolt onto the factory mounting points with no modifications needed to the frame or headers. Since only the silencers are being replaced, the Raptor 650's ECU does not normally require any remapping. The original exhaust system — headers and mid-pipes — stays in place and works exactly as intended by the manufacturer. This means the engine's fuelling behaviour, whether carburetted or fuel-injected depending on the series, is not significantly affected by replacing the silencers alone.

Every silencer includes a standard dB killer, factory-fitted inside the end can. Removal of the dB killer is not officially intended and voids the homologation. For those looking for an even quieter level of noise, some models are available in a No-Noise version: this is a welded internal acoustic filter that further reduces decibel levels without significantly affecting performance.
