The first-generation Z1000, produced until 2006, left a precise mark in a segment then in full evolution, becoming a stylistic and dynamic reference for European nakeds in the years that followed. The exhaust configuration of the Z1000 2004-2006 features a system with twin silencers in lateral position, right and left. Our sports exhaust silencers are designed to replace both original mufflers, leaving the standard headers and connections unchanged. Mounting uses the motorcycle's original fittings without structural modifications, and the kit includes all the hardware necessary for the installation of both silencers. On a motorcycle of this nature and displacement, we recommend entrusting the work to a qualified mechanic to ensure a correct and symmetrical fitting.
Replacing both original silencers produces a significant overall weight reduction — the combined weight contribution of two standard mufflers is far from negligible on a naked of this type. On the sound front, the Z1000 with twin sports exhausts acquires a more defined and balanced tone, with an acoustic presence that enhances the nature of the inline four-cylinder in a way consistent with the character of the motorcycle. In terms of engine response, more efficient exhaust gas flow management on both sides can contribute to a smoother power delivery and more direct throttle response under certain riding conditions.

Every silencer comes with a standard dB killer included in the kit. Removing the dB killer invalidates the product's homologation and is not officially supported. For those requiring further noise reduction — daily use, noise-restricted environments, personal preference — the No-Noise option is available: an internally welded filter that lowers the sound level more noticeably without significantly affecting the characteristics of the exhaust silencers. It can be selected on the product page.
As this involves only the replacement of the silencers, the Z1000's ECU does not normally require any remapping. The original system remains in its standard configuration and the modification is sufficiently limited not to cause any electronic issues.
